Cheryl Tadin
A professional photographer since 1982, Cheryl specializes in event, documentary, architectural, and portrait photography. Her clients include governmental institutions, universities, organizations, families, and individuals for whom she has shot a wide array of events and images from portraits and parties to international events. Her photographic subjects include a range of the famous to the ordinary, from President and Hillary Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Senator Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson, Christopher Reeve, Aretha Franklin, Patty Barber, Tito Puente, the Staple Singers, Koko Taylor, K.D. Lange, and Emmylou Harris to wedding parties, students, professors, festival goers, signage, and street life. She was the official photographer for 1996 Democratic Convention and the City of Chicago’s official photographer for the 1994 World Cup Chicago games.
She brings an artistic and creative approach to her work, along with great respect for the wishes and objectives of her clients. Cheryl lived and worked as a professional photographer in Chicago and Las Vegas before relocating to St. Louis in 2008. She has a mastery of 35 mm cameras (film and digital), lighting, digital imaging and printing, and black & white darkroom development and printing
In addition to her technical skill and artistic vision, Cheryl truly enjoys working with clients to help them obtain the images they want. Patient and client-centered, she is always willing to experiment and to offer advice and suggestions. Cheryl will capture her clients’ important passages, places, and events, such as portraits, parties, celebrations, speeches, conferences, interiors, and exteriors.
Cheryl’s more experimental and artistic photography includes Polaroid emulsion and photo transfer, designing photographic cards, illuminating obscure urban and nature scenes and obscuring well-known landmarks.
